Usability

  • When editing link properties (using the HTML-Editor, for example) the dialog can now be cancelled even if the path specified cannot be resolved (Id: 10652).

  • The selection of a user or a user group has been improved. If the name specified is unique, the user is no longer asked to choose the name from a list. (Id: 10968)

  • The user group all_users (only with external user managers) is now named All users in the editorial interface. (Id: 10990)

  • If no reminder has been selected in the Show reminders dialog, the actions Edit and und Delete cause an appropriate message to be displayed. (Id: 10872)

  • When importing a file whose name contains special characters such as umlauts, these characters are preserved in the title of the file instead of converting them to underscore characters. (Id: 10615)

  • If, in the Content Manager's list view, an action cannot be executed for at least one of the selected files, an appropriate message is now displayed. (Id: 6470)

  • The Tcl command removeSubtree now fails instead of deleting all files if no file has been specified. (Id:11137)

  • Performance and Stability

    • The in-place migration now uses less memory. (without Id)

    • Previewing files, generating a static export, and dumping files is faster now. (Id: 10943, 10915)

    • The amount of memory used during the import of large files has been reduced. (Id: 10907)

    • The performance of the user manager interface has been improved. (Id: 10644, 10999)

    User Management

    • With LDAP/ADS, where queries (usersWhere, groupsWhere) containing space characters in the values, wrong LDAP query filters were generated. (without Id)

    • With internal user management, after changing the group assignment of a user, her file access permissions are updated immediately. (Id: 9810)

    • The editorial system is now able to handle files in which a user is referenced (as the editor, for example) who no longer exists in the user management. (Id: 11016)

    • Changes to the global permissions, which are defined in the system configuration, are now handled more robustly in the editorial system. Previously, a user was not able to log-in to the system after a global permission directly assigned to her (and not to one of her groups) was deleted. (Id 10525)

    • Portlets can now be included via WSRP if the portlet handles contain a slash character. (Id: 10921)

    • In Microsoft Windows, file lists (generated using npsobj list="toclist", for example) are now sorted according to the OS language. Thus, umlauts and other special characters are now treated as expected. (Id: 8520, 10592)

    • If NTLM rejects the identification data of a user, the configured error page (error 401) is now delivered. (Id: 10687)

    • If closing npsobj tags are missing in the content of a layout file, the NPSOBJ instructions are no longer reordered when the content is stored. (Id: 10977)

    • Calculated image sizes no longer deviate by one pixel from the true size. (Id: 8748)

    • If the VirtualHostConfig has been activated in the Portal Manager (bean id="hostConfig" in the pm.xml file), requests for directories (URLs with a trailing slash) are now redirected properly. (Id:10489)

    • CMS files created by wizards can now again be directly addressed as affectedNodes. (Id: 10548)

    • The Portal Manager now handles errors in accordance with the Servlet specification 2.5. (Id: 11077)
